Corndogs and Weenie Dogs

For those who are wondering where I have been, I got kidnapped by college. It held me hostage for about a month. I managed to escape today, but I heard that it is out looking for me. It won't be long before it finds me again.

Thankfully, fall break is only 2 days away and that means I get to see mi familia!!
I miss them so much! God has truly blessed me with the most amazing parents and brother anyone could ask for. See that freakishly tall boy between my mother and I? That's my LITTLE brother. He's 19, yet he is a foot and 3 inches taller than me. Apparently my parents fed him a lot better than they fed me. That's why my growth is so stunted. I kid I kid, no need to call social services.

Shout out to Michael (my broski) for walking on the Memphis football team! I cannot wait to see what God has in store for him!! Or me, because who knows maybe Michael will become friends with some hunk of a football player named Derek and we will fall madly in love.

A few weeks ago, I visited my family for the weekend. We went to a festival. The two main reasons I wanted to go there was: a. CORNDOGS and b. Weenie dog races. If you know me, you know I LOVE corndogs, especially ones from a festival or a fair. Anywho, we got to watch little dachshunds race each other, or attempt to.

Here's a video of the first bracket:
I have now decided that I am going to save up my money for a dachshund so that I can enter him in these races. He's gonna be a beast. Every dachshund will tremble in fear at the sound of his name. Green bandana weenie got nothing on him.

Actually, mine will probably turn out to be the pup who runs off in the wrong direction.

Well, I'd write more, but I have got to get some stuff done before I go to my flag football game. Don't worry, I'm wearing a really attractive mouth guard so that I don't bust my lip open again.

Wenshday Schwimsday 8/31/11

Yesterday, I was on the book of faces and noticed that last year on 8/31/10 my status was "scars on the lip suck." Past Meghan was a wise one. They do indeed suck.

This was a few days after a girl decided to ram her head into my face whilst playing flag football. My lip swole up real big and made it very difficult to eat. Every time I lifted my drink to take a sip of water, the water would pour out of my mouth. I look like I had drooled all over myself. It was like I had a hole in my lip or something. Wait, I did. It's all good though, because I got all stitched up and you can barely see my scar.

Here's a lovely picture of me right after the doc stitched me up. I would show you pictures of what it looked like a few days later, probably when I wrote that "stitches on the lip suck" but I'll spare you.

Also, I forgot to post about a random happening that occurred a few days ago.

I had just parked and was walking to the dumpster at my apartment to throw away a box. As I approached, I noticed something standing on the dumpster.

It was a raccoon! I got really excited. I had never been that close to a raccoon before. Now, I know these things carry the rabies, but I really wanted to get closer. So, I began talking to it like I talk to my dog.

"Hey, wittle raccoon, it's okay...I'm just throwing a box away..."

Well, I think my baby talk was freaking the critter out, so I began to make noises to get his attention. It worked, and I managed to snap this photo:

Then I told the raccoon that I had to throw my box away and to not be scared and attack me. I turned around and my neighbor was staring at me. From where he was standing, it looked like I was talking to the dumpster. I awkwardly laughed and walked away. I should have told him there was a raccoon there. Unfortunately, I didn't and now he thinks I'm that crazy girl that talks to dumpsters...

You may also be thinking I'm that crazy girl that talks to raccoons. Well, that my dear friend, is correct.
